I wanted to do a boat tour in a small boat in Jodogahama Beach. So I parked my car in an almost full parking lot (no wonder, it is Saturday of the Obon week) and approached the counter for the big ships, asking for the small boats. This caused a bit of turbulence behind the counter. They understood, what I wanted but it was difficult to explain. 'Wait a moment'! And then I had my personal guide, which accompanied me to the place, where the small boats left and even arranged the booking for me. On the way we talked. After sharing, that I'm German, the first comment was 'world champion' next were 'sausages' and last 'beer'.
Giving my name for the announcement ended up with everybody in the area knowing, that now Stefanie from Germany is taking the tour to the blue cave. The boats are accompanied by seagulls, which get some cracker as treat. Some of them come very close
The boat goes inside of a small cave,
After some more walking through pine forests I went further North to the Kitayamazaki coast. This is still part of the national park, which spreads along the whole Sanriku coast.
Walking in the rain, I kept the stroll limited to the nice ways and observation platforms, which gave great views.
I finished the visit with some delicious ricebowl with uni on it.
